I'm the father of two boys at Pine Grove, one headed into 4th grade and the other 2nd grade. My wife, Elaine, and I have lived in Stonegate for 15 years. We chose and continue to stay in this neighborhood because of the strong relationship our community has with the exceptional staff at Pine Grove Elementary. I am entering my 18th year as a high school social studies teacher at Smoky Hill High School in Aurora and I deeply value the positive impact quality public education has on communities and society as a whole. I'm extremely passionate and knowledgeable about integrating diverse voices from the community to help shape and advance public education to meet the needs of diverse groups of learners. I am honored to be a parent representative on SAC to help Pine Grove Elementary and our community navigate these changes to benefit the academic, emotional, and personal growth of all children. I am a mother to two Pine Grove students in 2nd and 5th grade. My family and I have lived in Parker for 5 years and I’m excited to get involved with the school to understand the decision and challenges they face. As a Human Resources professional, I enjoy working with people and helping make strategic decisions for the better of all including students, teachers and faculty, families and the community. I look forward to contributing to this committee and the opportunity to learn more about the school’s budget, safety, and many other programs and processes.
