Anti-Bullying

Bullying is different from conflict.

  • Conflict is a disagreement or argument in which both sides respectfully express their views.
  • Bullying is negative behavior directed by someone exerting power and control over another person.

Reporting

If you feel you have been bullied, discriminated against, harassed OR if you feel someone has retaliated against you because of a report, please notify:

  • Your classroom teacher
  • PGE's Mental Health Teachers: Ms. Strange, Mrs. Wassenaar, Mrs. Vanterpool, or Ms. Smith
  • Ms. O'Leary or Mrs. Coonts
  • Other trusted adults in the building

In addition to reporting to an adult at school, make sure you let your parents know!

If you are caught bullying OR if you try to get back at someone who reported bullying, consequences may include a phone call home, conversation with other person, office referral, or suspension from school.
