Student Leadership

Pine Grove Elementary Student Leadership Teams

Once again, Pine Grove 5th and 6th grade students will have the opportunity to participate in Student Leadership. These students can join one of four teams, all having different responsibilities.

Green Team

This team is responsible for assisting with energy conservation and paper reduction on a school-wide basis. Students on this team should have a desire to educate others on sustainability, recycling and help to beautify Pine Grove. You will see these students every Wednesday morning before school collecting recycling from all offices and classrooms throughout the building.

Technology Team

This team is responsible for working on school-wide projects involving technology, the primary project being the creation and live broadcast of Friday's announcements to be viewed throughout the school.  Students on this team should have a passion for using technology to support learning within our school. Students from the Technology Team were honored at DCSD film festival with first and second place honors for Student Newscast Production and first and third place in the category of PSA.

Community Service Team

This team is responsible for planning and carrying out community service projects at Pine Grove and in our community. Students on this team should have a desire to help others out in times of need as well as promoting a sense of Pine Grove spirit and pride. The PGE Student Community Service Team heads up our annual canned food drive for the Parker Task Force and our Grover Cares drive for Pine Grove Families.

Anti-Bullying Team

This team is responsible for supporting our school in the promotion of our school’s motto. Students on this team should have a desire to help classmates strive for their best, both behaviorally and academically. Students on the Anti-Bullying Leadership team visit younger grades to teach students anti-bullying strategies.  A point of pride for this committee is the Bully Bench which sits on the playground and is designed for a student who needs a friend to play with.  Come and check it out!
